I'm not a foodologist. Adding salt is perilous. You add a bit (you don't want to add too much) and taste it, so you have to eat more of the low-sodium shit. So you mix it and add more. What if you add too much? It's ruined. Ugh.

Well, I tried to eat cottage cheese. I put too much salt in, so I added some blueberry preserves. It still wasn't very good. I will submit a complaint to the manufacturer.
