Perfect ereader. A group of friends got me it! The original Kindle fire turned me a bit from the Kindle line, but this is awesome! Doesn't hurt my eyes, is light weight and fits in my purse perfectly. :) What kind of ereader do you have?

I suggest getting the iPad mini if you're loaded with cash. If you're a poorfuck that just so happens to like reading, I suggest a Kindle.

I just read pdfs on my phone with just a bit of extra scrolling. 4.7" is fine enough for a reading screen and also for dix.

Not if you use it like a Kindle. Put it on airplane mode, turn WiFi off, and turn the brightness down and it'll be just right.

I have the 5th gen non-paperwhite Kindle and I really like it. It's doubled the number of books I read per month because it's so much easier to read on the Kindle without having to deal with turning pages and losing your place and carrying around a bunch of heavy paper books.

The e-ink screen could be whiter (it's like reading newspaper) but even so it's a million times better than an LCD display. I give the Kindle 10/10 would definitely buy again. I just wish they made a 10" Kindle with the e-ink display.

Get a proper case for it. the screens easily break if you drop the it.

It's pretty cool. They need to invent color e-ink screens before I'd throw around terms like amazing. But hey, some people are easily impressed.
