Topic: What is the point of living in California?

HaikerensGuide !0VegJ9Jl.Q started this discussion 13 years ago #25,684

Sure, it is nice and sunny, and the winters are warm, but the taxes are high and the real estate business there is corrupt as fuck. Small houses cost $400,000 and that's in a minority neighborhood. It's a crime-ridden state and the wages aren't high enough to justify the cost of real estate.

stop making posts about fucking random counties and towns in michigan
do you realize that absolutely nobody here cares? what are you trying to prove? do you even have any real life friends to drone about this shit to? probably not because 18 year olds don't fucking care about this shit nobody does

Would you move to Troy, Michigan for the lower cost of living?

LOL LOL LOL

I have been all around the world. Chile to China Australia to Siberia. USA States Most but never Kansas and very little Michigan. When it cums to snow I wood rather pay to go to it as for skiing. I see no reason to want to live in the Humidity of Michigan in summer. Why do people live where you feel like you are in a broken down steam engine? I bet Michigan has good weather a few weeks of the 52.

Here people are in shock when it rains. I run in the rain. I admit I hate running in driving rain that is in my face for the full run. Maybe two days a year that happens. I am not even going to bother to look up Troy on Wiki to see how bad it is.

I turned down a job years ago in Michigan. Did get one hell of a gig I failed at for Robots for plants in Michigan. But got Robots out of my design system for EVER NEVER AGAIN BUT Sure glad I did.

Troy MI is pretty cheap to live in, but still safe. It's not like

You're right. The weather sucks. That's why we go up north in the summer and to the southwest in the winter. We can afford to do that because our houses are more than half the cost of the houses in California.

Well you mean you can do that cause you're on a free ride with parents.....Buttttttt wot plan do you have for future when its tyme to leave that comfortable nest?

Nor is it necessarily all that costly to get in on life in So Cal. Falco left his parents next and does it on his own with roommates of course. I am renting out a Condo in Carlsbad at the edge of a Lagoon, that's beach lagoon and the young couple has roommates who get one hell of a good deal for beach living. I have turn down approval on such but the young couple really did a careful search for a quality roommate.

Falco on occasions gripes about wot he ran in2. I just think he was in 2 much of a rush to leave the parents nest so he could get in2 his dream at Disneyland.

I plan on moving west to North Dakota. Even though the weather is utter shit, it's even cheaper to live there AND they have jobs that pay pretty well. And apartments are about $300-$400 and close to downtown.

And this is a looong term plan for you? Wot is your end game goal? Not that I really had one ...other then to enjoy life. Hard work is easy if you enjoy that work. I keep telling myself that as I try and find out why a new born keeps crying with no apparent problem.

My endgame is moving to the Upper Peninsula with the money I earned in ND. Of course, that is if I don't want to stay in ND.
