I've read it. Protip: don't skip reading endnotes or footnotes. Just consider them part of the chapter. Sometimes it help to reread the chapter, some of the endnotes go on for 30 pages.
Very difficult read. David Foster Wallace is my favorire writer, but even thomas pynchon is a breezy read compared to him.
Don delillo is a cake walk compared to DFW.
Broom of the System was really good, and since it's his first novel it's much more approachable. Also his collections of short stories are amazing, but you may want to skip his papers involving mathematics, tornadoes, and tennis.

Oh, and i don't just mean the length. Even though it weighs in at 1k pages, the hardest part isn't the page number hurdle.
You have to really, really care about minutiae.
If infinite jest was a video of a man walking a dog down the sidewalk DFW would start off with an extreme close-up of an aphid on a single stalk of grass chewing on some pollen, and would end with a mathematical proof for the absolute maximum curve a tennis ball may make in flight. The man walking his dog was only there for a minute.
