No one else on the board cares if you're from Town A near Detroit or Town B that's also near Detroit. We don't generally stalk IPs to ensure that you are from exactly where you say you are because that would take effort and we're lazy, and there's no payoff for doing it.

I don't remember that happening, but there's a big difference between saying you're from the Netherlands when you're actually from Michigan, and saying you're from Town A in Michigan when you're really from Town B in Michigan.
