I don't get it. Marsden is a rich and powerful businessman, and a loving father who loves Matt so much that.. he lets him fester in a shithole apartment in a third world country and drive a moped? Why would Marsden care about some lame chan drama which has been going on for about three years now?
Reid is letting that 400-something dollars ruin his life. It was blindingly, painfully obvious that loaning Matt money was a bad idea. The smart thing to do is to cut his losses and move on with his life. He's letting Matt win: he got Reid's money and now he has someone obsessed with him (which feeds Matt's attention whoring and persecution complex).
The only thing sadder than some 40 year old drunken loser with a shit fetish is someone obsessed with a drunken 40 year old loser with a shit fetish.
