I would definitely do this if I was building a car for saving fuel consumption. And with his solar panels it only takes 15 minutes or so to charge them all up. Not bad.

That's a purely electric car. They get better efficiency, but the charging time is excruciating.

Your mpg is around average for mid range hatchbacks. ...and not as good as some larger saloons. Insurance wise you are paying through the nose. Mug not smug
