For anyone who doesn't know what it is, it's the practice of sleeping for only 20 minutes in 4 hour intervals throughout the day. There are different schedules to minimize your sleeping time as well which are easier to successfully do while having a time-consuming job or school. The idea is to only sleep in stage 5 REM sleep, giving you the efficiency of a good night's rest without taking up 8 or so hours of your day.
I've been interested in trying it for quite some time and want to hear others' experiences maybe. It's rather interesting and I implore you to look into it.

I personally use the dymaxion sleep cycle and it helps a lot because of my extreme insomnia. Also seems to work better in my opinion that the uberman sleep cycle, but if you'd like more details I can provide. Don't expect this to work right away, most people will feel like a zombie for the first 10-14 days.

I USE 4 CORNER SIMULTANEOUS SLEEP ROTATION
TO SLEEP IN 4 DIFFERENT CORNER HARMONIC EARTHS
SINGLE REM CYCLE ROTATION IS DEMONIC AND
STUPID FOR CUBE BRAIN INDIVIDUALS

"Fuller is the only figure on record who claimed a successful Dymaxion sleep. Thus, there is no certitude about the sustainability of this schedule.[16]"
From the wikipedia page on Polyphasic sleep. The idea that you can sleep less and get better sleep is bullshit. NASA and Military have polyphasic schedules, but even they insist that a regular sleep schedule is superior and they're doing everymans or biphasic sleeps which is nowhere near the absurdity that is the uberman or the dymaxion.
I tried a polyphasic sleep schedule once when I was around 15 or so. It felt better than depriving myself of less hours would normally be. I was able to function on an accumulative 4 hours, but it added up and people noticed I had dark circles underneath my eyes and I ended up sleeping for 13 hours straight 3 weeks later. Just get normal sleep.

A regular sleep schedule doesn't work for everyone, and it doesn't work for me. Just because NASA and the military claim it's inferior compared to a "normal" sleeping schedule, doesn't mean that's true for every single person in the world. I can say dymaxion sleeping schedule has personally worked for me, but that's it. For the first 10-14 days it will be tough for those who are used to such a standard sleeping schedule, but since I've always had really bad insomnia it wasn't a big deal to me. Even if I don't necessarily sleep during the times I have set, just resting my eyes and brain definitely gives me more energy. And again, this is just speaking for me, nobody else.

i dont think you know what "science" means
@OP
how does this work? if it has to be spread over the day evenly it's kind of hard to do if you have a job or school

I think this is the another reason many people can't truly experiment with different sleeping agendas. For my dymaxion cycle I sleep at both 6:30 and 12:30 for thirty minutes. Of course, if I had a job that may or may not be possible to keep it this way. My school schedule doesn't interfere with this though.
