Considering how the holiday appears to be evolving into a more diverse celebration. If the time ever came to rename the holiday known as Christmas to something else. What would be an appropriate name for the festival?
It should be as poetic as the season's other names such as Christmas, Saturnalia, and Yule. Maybe something Latin based?
It would most likely be renamed as something innocent and general, such as "Gift Day".

I just learned something new and apparently this gets used for those who want to "rebrand" Christmas.

You can't "rename" the holiday. You would be celebrating a different holiday on the same day as Christmas.

Not necessarily. People celebrating "Christmas" would almost certainly be religious traditionalists, while those celebrating "Gift Day" would be progressive atheists. Theirs would be very different customs.
