Yes. It takes way too much energy to figure out what Brits are saying. I don't see the point anyway because their shows are always shit.

Typical ignorant American boasting about their bastardized version of a British TV program. The Office, Shameless, British versions are grate, American versions utter shit. Just stop.

My favorite sitcom is Coupling, and it's a British comedy. The IT Crowd is great too. I tried watching Shameless a few times, but it just seems like they try to hard to me. If I want to watch sex, I'll watch porn. When they try to pack that much sex into a TV it's like they're just trying to be edgy.

He is a great example of the Americans insular existance. My Aunt, an intelligent, University graduate, phoned me to say she had just seen a great TV show. "Say, do you guys have TV over there? You do, well that's just great - look out for one of our shows coming your way - it's called The Office" !!!!!!! This is absolutely a true story.

It's true. There are like two British shows that hipsters claim to like, but no one ever actually watches them. No American has ever actually sat through Downton Abbey.

I watched the british office and the american office. The first few episodes are pretty much the same jokes, then the american version gets better. Thw british version got stale, but steve carroll made it so much better.
Also i used to watch black adder and red dwarf. Decent shows, but always felt like i was watching sometjing made decades ago. Idk why, but a lot of british shows feel dated. Maybe it's the production quality?
American tv and movies feel modern and polished imo.
