So a gay friend of mine has a long term partner. He also has a sister. His partner wants to have a baby, via gay friend's sister being inseminated with partner's sperm, so "it would be like our baby." Sister is okay with this.

Some of the "what-if" scenarios do seem a little odd. What if sister wants to get involved in raising the kid? Wouldn't living as a mother/sister-dad-brother/uncle unit get a little weird? What if brother and sister end up vying for partner's attention? What if sister is secretly eying brother's boyfriend? Awkward.
I suppose if everyone involved is okay with it, then it's fine. It has the potential to be really interesting if everyone involved is sort of cool and groovy and able to live with the situation. I'd hate to see the resulting custody battle if shit fell apart at some point though.

I'm fine with gay people being parents, biological or otherwise. It's just the partner's relative angle that sits weird with me, and I'm not quite sure why.
The gay friend isn't totally comfortable with it, ftr. Open to it but a bit weirded out.

I just don't think it's right children get raised in a fucked up situation getting constantly bullied because two gay men falsely thought they have the right to father children. If you are not prepared to ejaculate into a woman's vagina then raise the child with her, you shouldn't be having biological children.
