I like them alright. I've only ever played through 1 and 2. The one on DS (I forget the name) was pretty crap though and I traded it in a while back.

you saved yourself from a lot of disappointment, man. the two main titles were cool, the remake of chain of memories into a 3D environment was meh (moreso interesting just to see how it would turn out. the story was the only interesting part of that title).

I just didn't like the monontany of hub-mission-hub-mission. It got extremely stale extremely quickly. I'd like to see them go deeper into the Square-Enix universe though. So far they only really use well known characters. I'd like to see Cecil, Locke, Rydia, Terra, and others from older games. Not just Final Fantasy though, it would be cool to see some Chrono Trigger/Cross characters and some that I can't recall the names of from other games they have made.

Eh, I think they should focus more on Disney. If they explore more FF it's bound to be grimdark bullshit, plus all of the spinoffs recycle the same Disney worlds as the previous ones (the exception being the upcoming 3DS one). That said, I wouldn't mind some older Final Fantasy characters, as long as they don't turn into something like Setzer in KH2. I just want it to be more like the first one, where they focused more on the Squeenix meets Disney thing than their own universe.

my main problem with them exploring more FF characters is they start to give voices to older ones that never should have had them in the first place. i find that to be a really shitty move on their part.

i wish they would also go back to exploring disney as well. i want them to do looser titles that aren't necessarily just part of their staple cartoons (like when they did tron, i fucking krame all over the place) maybe like who framed roger rabbit or toy story would be cool.

That's a good point. Maybe some Tail Spin in there for good measure. Not all Square Enix is grimdark though. The Chrono games have some moments that really are, but they aren't all like that. Some Final Fantasy Tactics advance characters would be pretty cool. Some Bangaa or Viera tossed in the mix. Some Dragon Quest characters would be awesome. Those slimes are always awesome.

well if they used some titles that were lesser known was sorta what i meant by how they could put some new and unused worlds into the games. i think they could get away with putting some FFT characters in there but as i said i really hate it when they give voices to characters which have always been mute to me. it causes me to lose some unique interpretation to how i think they should sound (for example, in FFVII, making cait sith sound scottish? the fuck?)

the other issue there is that square enix would be pushing for it since its been only FF exclusive characters. i doubt youd ever see chrono or dragon quest characters in there. it'd be like if in the nintendo games they could procure the rights to use characters from SMRPG (like geno or yaridovich as a boss)

geno seriously would be fucking epic if confirmed for brawl, but the legal horseshit gets in the way of fan demand. i remember a gamespot poll asking who people wanted most in brawl, and he was one of the top picks. if konami was able to let solid snake have an appearance, why not?
