I'm also vegan. I don't really have any special recipes, but a nearby Chinese restaurant sells this stuff called Family Bean Curd with tofu and lots of other veggies steamed in a spicy sauce, sometimes sweet. It's delicious! I wouldn't mind getting the recipe and making it myself.

You should check out the book appetite for reduction it's got super simple recipes with plain ingredients.
Only problem I have with tofu and sauce stuff is they always need expensive herbs and spices >:[
But it is delicious ... -drool-
I ain't got money for lemongrass in everything

Simple recipes are exactly what I need. Most have too much stuff I have no idea where to find in stores around here. My city isn't a very vegan friendly city, but you can find what you want if you search hard enough.

The 4 books I use that are simple are :
"Appetite for reduction"
"Vegan Soups and Hearty Stews for All Seasons."
"Low Calorie Vegetarian Cook Book" by Sanjeev Kapoor
( "Veganomicon" for deserts and more foodie stuff )
Are full of recipes that just use a standard spice rack (oregano, basil, sage etc)
If you can get your hands on the basic indian spice rack (tumeric etc) it opens a few more recipes in the books.
Surprising how different the flavours can be just from spice mixtures.

My favorite vegan recipe is ice cubes. They're fantastic on hot summer days.

As a member of META (Molecular Ethical Treatment Association) I can assure you all the molecules are treated humanely.
