It just crossed my mind that tear as in breaking something and tear as in what falls from your eyes are spelled the exact same but mean two different things. So, if I said "I'm going to tear you up", what would your response be?
Not as in if I said it aloud, but as in if I typed it and you read it in your head. I understand that saying it aloud obviously tells which tear I would be talking about, while reading it does not tell you which tear I would be talking about. You'd have to guess which one, picking that I was going to tear you apart or break through some sad news.
