then he pissed on my bathroom floor. all over it. fucking twice. and possibly three times, but the lady scrubbed the shit out of it before I woke up so I don't know. The only person I normally share it with is the other tenant and she's a clean asian woman in her 30's. I practically have it to myself.
i did complain. I'm paying a lot of money just to live here and I don't want to step around old man piss every morning.
we worked it out with no drama, and he's gone because she said he needed to go anyways, but it was still awkward and stuff. nobody told me it was going to be happening
AND someday my body won't work properly anymore and I won't be able to piss right too, but I'll know for sure not to go on the floor.
On the bright side, An old hippie-ish wizard looking guy is moving in the spare room tomorrow though. He's pretty legit. He's one of those dudes that has a million political opinions because he's been alive so long. It's fun to hear their wisdom in certain doses.(Edited 3 minutes later.)

Been far too many years since I have visited my old haunts like Yorba Linda n Fullerton. I imagine all the orange groves are gone and replaced with cookie cutter houses/condos?
But I also imagine those estate homes in the hills of Fullerton still exist? Many with guest houses. Fond memories and stories to tell few would believe if I told them here.
Anyway point of my reply is.....How about you use some weekend or free tyme off of work to check out some of those neighborhoods. Here in Cardiff by the Sea as well as next towns Encinitas, Leucadia,& Olivenhain, have small signs on lawns & they are renting out a guest house or looking to rent out a spare room. Costs for a room around say Encinitas run anywhere from $350 to 800 depending on size. Guest houses a bit more - I know a surfer who is paying $1000 for her guest house which is far removed from the main house and her view of the Ocean is far better then the main house. She looked on craigs list with not much success so I drove around with her as she looked at this and that. We found nothing suitable on that trip, but later on her own she found a very nice place for $1000.
My memory of the hills of Fullerton is very similar to most of the local towns next to me. Older homes with a huge lot and people with kids off to college and rooms to spare and they may be on a limited pension income.
Try Craigs list but look around towns next ta ya. If I had a room to spare I wood spread the word and never use a list like Craigs. But I do know people that found roommates and are happy with what they found using that list.
Sounds like you ended up with something you need to consider moving
from soon.
