Detroit gets a lot of attention because it's a big city that's all fucked up, but it's just like a representation of thousands of small towns throughout the midwest. People can look at Detroit and say 'wow that's fucked up', but they fail to realize a lot of the country is in the same shape. I can't speak for every state ofc, but I've visited a lot of small towns in Kansas for work related stuff in the past, and let me tell you - many of them were full of very poor people, shitty buildings and trash everywhere.
Ask yourself how often you get out to little backwoods towns - for almost everyone the answer would be rarely if ever. Little towns in the middle of nowhere that are all trashed out have a very twilight zone feel to them, there's no gas stations, no stores, there's nothing, just a bunch of run down houses and mangy dogs. Why the fuck do people even live there@! Things are tough all over.

@previous (Ks !KansasxqvM)
I have been all over the world and in most USA States but never Kansas.
However and I am not kidding. I was on my way to work while living in Siberia n it was spring tyme with most snow melted. Crew I was with was mostly from other countries except on dude who said
You know if not for all the antennas along the way, Siberia looks very much like Kansas.
Antennas for 100's of miles to eavesdrop on China.
