Wouldn't be that hard of a fight for the man if you're smart.
30 cats would be struggling on top of each other injuring one another if they all attacked at the same time... all in all no matter how they attack they would either be in each others way or they would be easy to kill one by one. Would be a bloody mess but the dude would survive with scratches.

Domestic cats are not pack animals and would not, by their very nature, attack as a group. Scare one, scare them all. They would, more likely turn on each other.
