Maybe, but they probably don't think in terms of social constructs like Mother/Father/Aunt/Uncle in the same way humans do. For example, in some human cultures, the word for "Father" and the word for "Uncle" are the same word, and cousins are considered ideal mates, but in many cases only cross-cousins. If these ideas can vary so much from human culture to human culture, then it's impossible to really know what a member of another species is thinking. A cat might "recognize" a "cousin" but in a way that in their mind is closer to our idea of "ideal mate."
