I sometimes tend to think Jones is a type of double agent. I don't know how to say it with it sounding weird. But I think his agenda is too have a batshit personality, and have a following, but at the same time his main objective is to be the laughing stock to where the majority of normal people won't listen to the truth because of his delivery.

You're problem is ever listening to Alex Jones in the first place. TYT did a good video (wow never though I'd say that) about him. He constantly rants about how big his audience is, but it's all lies.
I don't know how you could stand that voice, either.
We have the same problem here. There are these famous talkback radio guys that supposedly have these massive audiences, but I've never listened to any of them. Reading about their views I can see that they're all idiots. Why do people listen to them? People like your Michael "Savage" (Wiener). What a moron. I don't think Alex Jones is any worse than the rest of them. I'm sure they all embarrass people who hold views similar to them, too.

Alex Jones is like a sponge that just absorbs information from a myriad of sources. I think he spends so much time gaining information that he doesn't do a lot of fact checking or verification. He just reports on what he thinks sounds good or supports his agenda.

Ah, I love this line of reasoning! It's been done before with other things, but it's most fun when you apply it to conspiracy theorists themselves. It generally goes: The point of $mediaEvent is reinforce the public's idea that $conspiracyTheory is crazy entertainment.
This theme crops up again and again: The X Files was aired to keep the general public thinking that UFO believers were just crazy people taking television too seriously. The Teletubbies were a conspiracy to let people dismiss childrens' tales of their alien abductions as mere fantasy. The MIB movies were made to desensitize people to the idea that aliens are among us while giving them an easy way to dismiss sightings. It goes on and on...
It gets really fun when you start applying this idea to conspiracy theorists. All the skeptics are either working to cover up the "truth" or have already been fooled, and all the people working to expose the "truth" aren't believed because they are actually agents of the conspiracy trying to look foolish. You enter into a sort of "hall of mirrors" of paranoid thinking were everyone is part of the cover-up no matter what they say or do.
It's a fun idea and all, but I just want to say: This way lies madness.
