I just imported a midi drum file into a new project and the default instrument was piano and it sounds cool like a russian ballet

Where do you get all the money to pay for this stuff like all the time? Why do you tell minichan every time you buy something new?

is it correct to say that the entire electronic music industry revolves around buying controllers etc?

but what do they actually do? isn't it just a bunch of buttons that tell to make x program to make x sound?

This one controls a program called Ableton Live. Each knob can control a different parameter depending on what I tell it to do. Each square button can launch a synth sequence, drum loop, song... etc. it's kinda complicated.

thanks. i wonder if you can make a simpler version of this yourself, using a keyboard controller or something

Yeah. I also used to have a novation launchpad and that was a fun tool.

There's lots of cool little midi controllers on the market right now. Lots of cheap ones. Plus, sometimes the best tool you can use is your mouse! :)

Ah well, you should upgrade to the latest model incorporating a Tea and Coffee maker. A grill is an additional optional extra. Cheap skate. lololol
