I have driven through that place many a time. All kinds of reasons to drive through summer or winter. One could even go hunting for Gold nuggets at $1660 and a few days back it was at $1775 and I b betting its going back UP.

Which means one can still pan for Gold and people do and it doooooon't take much to come out a winner. When I was a kiddlet Knotts Berry Farm near Disneyland used to offer Gold Panning with garrrrentee of real gold for everyone. That tiny bit today wood be worth serious money - They did discover that the guy running the gig was stealing a bit of everyones Gold and he went to PRISON.
