I had some Long Hammer IPA last night and some Sam Adams Latitude 48 IPA tonight. IPA's are good beers. I especially like the ones that have a grapefruit like taste to them.

Me too. I find that they pair well with spicy, eastern foods. Tonight I ate Kimchi and a very hot Indian curry dish.

Don't forget Chink beer. Tsingtao and Chang are both quite good, although the latter is a bit pricey (especially at Goodison, when it was £3.50 a pint in 2008).

It is very good but a real IPA buff will not be very thrilled. Any huge hop-head will find it is a little weaker on that front that many popular IPAs, don't you think? I love the flavor though, and it packs like 7% ABV so it'll get the job done when you are in the mood for some heavy drinking. Another good IPA from my area is Harpoon IPA but I don't think it gets distributed nationally like Long Hammer.

Oh fuck you're here! I edited my last post with another beer. How is the microbrew environment in your area?
Edit: I'm not the world's biggest IPA fan, but I love to drink them with big delicious meals. I feel like the taste pairs really well with food. The other time I like IPAs is when I just want to get sloshed. The typical lager just doesn't have the ABV to put me down before I get full.

I am a recent edition to the microbrew fan club so I am still feeling things out a bit. I really like Shipyard, especially Shipyard Export.
Edit: IPA's are the perfect food beers. I like them without food as well.

Like Shipyard, Maine? They are really popular here too. They make a pumpkin ale that people LOVE during the fall. 99% of pumpkin beers I've had sucked ass, but theirs is pretty damn good. (for a shitty pumpkin beer)

Yep that one. I have some of the pimpkinhead in my fridge right now. Chamberlain Pale Ale is awesome too. I love the shipyard export. There is a Shipyard Emporium in Orlando. I plan on going there soon.
