I can understand it, I guess. It makes you feel good rebelling against the system, right? Your parents too?

Belonging to a political party and having a specific ideology isn't rebelling against anything.

Do you support them because of their stance on weed? Look kid, it's okay to like weed but you can't let it dictate your entire political outlook!

I don't think the government should have the right to involve itself in our personal lives -- dictating what is and isn't suitable for our bodies. This includes drug-use of any kind. I think all drugs should be legal; I'm not just an aspiring pothead. Also, my coincidental frequent use of marijuana will most likely continue regardless of whether it's made legal or not.

ANY part of your personal life? Can the government personally interfere with you raping your own personal baby?

Rape being illegal is a reasonable law, so police have the right to take necessary actions if needed. When I say "government" I generally mean our national government and legislature; not state governments or local governments.

What I mean is, what do YOU mean by "interfere with personal life"? What does that include?

Anything that restricts my personal freedoms or interferes with my constitutional pursuit of happiness.

YOUR freedoms and happiness? What if those interfere with someone else's?

That's layed out in the constitution. I don't have the right to deny someone else of their pursuit of happiness, or interfere with it.

So, what if your doing drugs interferes with my right to live in a drug-free society?

I don't doubt there are intelligent libertarians out there, but I've yet to meet one myself.

I am inclined to agree. It seems like libertarianism is the new political fad because it supports legalized weed and prostitution, without really understanding how big of a political commitment libertarianism is.
