The Bible, Torah and Koran all refer to masturbating as a "sin", essentially. The Bible/Torah calls it "spilling your seed" or "wasting your seed". So to answer your original question, yes – masturbating is a "sin"...
However, it is a known fact that various animals masturbate within nature. I would even be willing to bet that every type of animal which is able to sexually please itself masturbates. Why should you be any different? It is 100% normal for someone your age, and is in fact, considered healthy! Orgasming on a regular, non-obsessive basis relieves stress, anxiety, and even depression.
