this is pretty much what i see when i look up. i remember seeing the milkyway when i was a kid, but that was way out in the country going through the rio-grande valley

...deep in the heart, of texas. dallas is not the heart, necessarily. you can see things pretty good coming out of San Antonio, but the further west you go the better, really.
