it was pretty cold and he didn't have a coat, it was obvious he was freezing and was looking for help.
so i armed myself with a pistol, got an old blanket from the linen closet, and went outside to see what i could do.
i figured it'd be some homeless guy, but it turned out to just be some dude on hallucinogens.
i went ahead and gave him the blanket, and then we talked for a while and i calmed him down so he'd stop with the yelling. apparently he got separated and lost from his friends.
anyway, he appreciated the blanket, and i went back inside and called the police to come pick him up.

He was a white guy, actually. What was i supposed to do? It was 20 degrees outside. Y'all would've been like all my neighbors and called the police to report a disturbance and then gone back to bed.
I went out and gave him a warm blanket first, then went and told the police someone needed assistance. Dude didn't have an id, so i couldn't put him in a cab, and he certainly wasn't coming in my house.
Also i was not the only one who called the police, they'd already been notified by someone else. I live in a nice neighborhood and most of my neighbors are young married couples with little kids. They're always calling the cops on people to get them in trouble, i called so the guy wouldn't freeze to death.
And no one else gave him a blanket so he'd be warm. He called me an angel.

A REAL angel would have taken him into his house, tucked him up cosy in bed and later that night crawl in for some sweet, sweet love.

i dunno. he wandered off. i like to think he's still out there to this very day, tripping on hallucinogens and wearing a blue and white cowboys blanket as a cape and on a journey to find his friends
