What retard would donate their lungs if they have cancer? I mean he/her must have ticked the little box on their donor card.

Smokers still have lots of other healthy organs. It's the doctors and surgeons fault for thinking it's a good idea to transplant a smoker's lung.

Look on the bright side though. She lived longer than she would have if she hadn't gotten the lung.

What retard doctor doesn't verify the health of an organ before putting it inside somebody. Also why wasn't the cancer cured? They have a cure for cancer since 2001.

It's not really the fault of whoever donated the lung.

Yeah it fucking is. Maybe they didn't tell the hospital they smoked. Like I said, shouldn't have ticked "lungs" on their fucking donor card. Either way someone is at fault here.

> The family of a cystic fibrosis patient believe the transplant of a heavy smoker's lungs led to her death from cancer.
> The family believe

And we care about their uneducated opinion because?

There's no checkbox for what organs you want to give when you become an organ doner in the US. (I should know, I used to be an organ doner). Someone who needs a lung really doesn't have time to be picky, lungs aren't growing on trees really. There's a high demand.

This is why we need stem-cell research. Grow organs in petri dishes.

What good research has been banned?
