How sad did it actually make you? Obviously it was a terrible thing that happened, no one supports it, but what did it actually make you feel? Did you cry? Did it make you feel down? Did you feel a wince of pain?

Faceless statistics to me sorry to disappoint. We've discussed this already, you're sad cause it hit the news.
When was the last time you cried or felt sad for all the kiddos in africa that are starving, dancing on the fine line between life and death eating random crap they can find till they die. And that's just one example. People die horrible deaths around the globe all the time. I'm glad news don't bring it all to the TV in your living room, you'd be depressed, sad and crying for the rest of your lives.
It is horrible, and best of luck to family and friends, but it didn't affect me in any way.

On a side note, I was watching the news yesterday and this story came on and they'd interviewed a teacher who said that she'd told the children that she wanted them to know that she loved them all very much because she thought that was the last thing they were ever going to hear and that was very sad.

...Except China has four times as many people as the US, and it took multiple assaults for them to come close to the number of people killed by one person in the U.S. I don't see what there is to "like" about that. It just shows that the kind of weapon used actually matters, with guns being substantially more dangerous than knives.
