Like stuff. Do news reporters get joy out of knowing some crazy shit went down like murders and shit and they just happy to be the first on the scene to report it? Like "fuck yeah! Finally i get to report some real shit!"

Well that's their job. It's probably the same as when a salesman makes a big sale or an artist sells a painting for six figures. If I were a TV news reporter I'd rather report from the scene of a homicide or 40 car pileup than some boring ass school board meeting.

One of my favorite journalists Anderson Cooper was once like this. He then became desensitized about the horrors of what he was experiencing and showing to the public. It took a toll on him, he got better and then mostly dicks.
