Topic: Accidentally walked into an astrophysics presentation rehearsal.

I went to go do work in the computer lab when all of a sudden a man walked in, closed the door behind him, and started shouting. I had seen him once before yelling at some kid about some emails exchanged between them, so I didn't think it was that odd. I didn't pay much attention but then he turned off the lights and some people went to the front of the room with the projector and gave like 15 minute talks on certain parts of the subject, then he would criticize the ever-loving-shit out of their Powerpoint presentations and speech giving skills. I was too embarrassed to get up and leave (I thought it would be disruptive to the student when I realized what was occurring). It was really funny to watch, so I just stayed the whole time. Apparently the guy is a professor, but he ridiculed his students so bad (like he called one guy's six slide introduction a clusterfuck of information). He was a super cool dude.

I have a teacher this semester, and she just stares at you until you stop doing whatever it is you shouldn't be doing. It's very awkward because I don't know where to look when she does that. I feel like I'm invading her moment and being a creeper. ¤_¤

Well, it's funny when it's happening to other people. I just find it so misplaced that they publicly flip out on just one person in front of a crowd of people. It's probably a powertrip thing. This guy was being constructive but just being a sarcastic ass (although he got a bunch of laughs by mocking various students, like talking about how someone ought to make an ethics presentation on how its wrong to throw plastic in the paper recycling bins). Most of them just let that small amount of power go to their head, and it's all right if you get burned in public, but it's another thing if they actually make an attempt to hurt your grade over it (which this guy seemed like it wasn't at all his intention).
