Nothing makes me happy I chase highs that are short lived. Life is boring. Drugs, sex, love, adventure, I've done those things. It's all just ways to fill time. I would have been content with love though, but I lost that, and frankly it doesn't interest me any more.

Also this whole game of me trying to fool myself into just getting over love, and all that is failing very quickly. Yeah, life is boring, but love is amazing and it makes all the dullness worthwhile. Now there's only the dullness, and that's why I'm in this state really. Cupcake was the only girl I've ever loved, and she's probably the only girl I ever will love. There's no one else like her in this world, she really is pretty terrific. And I fucked it up, horribly, and awfully. Now chances are I'll never have her again, and possibly never even seen her again.

It's hard for someone who doesn't have depression to empathize with someone who does, because to someone without depression the answer is just "Go out, and do things" because that's what makes someone who is sad happy. But depression happens when even when one is participating in life, and having what should be a good time still finds no joy. For me there was really only one thing that made me truly happy, well one person, and that was Cupcake. Now that she's gone I'm in a rather dark place.
It's hard for someone who doesn't have depression to empathize with someone who does, because to someone without depression the answer is just "Go out, and do things" because that's what makes someone who is sad happy. But depression happens when even when one is participating in life, and having what should be a good time still finds no joy. Other people aren't nearly as valuable as my ex was to me. I talk to them, but they are really only there to pass the time. I never cared for someone like I cared for, and still care for Cupcake. I think you miss the whole entire full and total point of a break up depression.
A Major break up is equivalent to serious surgery. The kind that takes a long time to heal as well as some form of Therapy. Both produce long term and lasting scars.
There is no short cut that works to cover the depression you are going through. Just like no short cuts to healing after a major surgery.
The UPSIDE not that this text will make you feel more better but the UPSIDE IS: One day you will look back and maybe even thank the Gods she is out of your life.
Now I am being so fucking serious honest with you and no bull shit on this. Back some years a gal dumped me because I was not ready to commit and give her the child she so wanted.
For me it got so bad I said fuck it with work and work was a serious major hard core paying gig. I ended up watching so fucking much TV because all I could do was sit in one spot and watch cable.
She the Strawberry blond and for some reason Strawberry blonds are often a major problem in my life EXCEPT For current GF, but adding it up the only two gals who dumped me were Strawberry blonds.
Enough about me for now. Postmortem you just have to give it a LOT of time. No short cuts and nada anyone here can tell you to make it more better. You as I have to just work through it.
I guess I have been cut off about 3 times - TWO Strawberry blonds and one Persian gal. But the Persian gal wanted to try again for a third time and I said I could NOT have my heart broken by her again.
Looking back at the serious situational depressions, where I cut back on my social and personal drinking, fact is it all passed on to meeting someone else more wonderful.
Do I miss a few I have fallen in love with? Of course. Now I can tell current GF's these stories about what I miss and they are cool with it.
So I cannot tell you to perk up and get over it. That would be WORTHLESS ADVICE. You just have to live life and heal and heal you will. No reason for you to believe you will. It don't work that way.
You know the term One Step at a Time. Few remember that it did not originate with AA. It started with Mountain climbers and Hikers before Bill W was born.
All mountain climbers know that you have valleys and mountains and that path from one to the other can be difficult and often almost impossible to achieve. A few never make it but 97% do make it.
Postmortem you will make it. Give it time nor do you have to believe it will get better. But what goes up goes down and what goes down goes up.

With Green Suicide pack is just as simple as killing off two three bottles as fast as possible down gullet. Of course on occasion that fails but does leave the person alive in the worst sorta possible way.
Body stuck in bed for rest of life with tubes in n out and someone like Buspup to wash you down but you will not even get a boner cause you will be mostly brain dead.
