Never had sweet potato puddin with or without whiskey sauce. Is it made airy fluffy or on the dense side like sweet pertato pie?

The stuff I've tried was a little thick but deleesh. I'll dig up the recipe the missus uses if you're interested. I think it's from either Don't Feed the Bears or Hot Damn and Hell Yeah. Both cookbooks are worthwhile, even for carnivorous comrades.

I cook a bunch but almost never bake or make puddings. Have old box's of puddings that pile up. I always get plum puddings at Christmas times from a friend in Ireland and England. I even admit to enjoying fruit cake on occasions. (I jack it up with whiskey or rhum or brandy or a mix of each and let it soak a few or many a day b4 testing.
exception wood be dumplings for stews as I have perfected the art of dumpling making.

I try to stay out of the kitchen and away from the stove unless im stoned. I might attempt to doctor up any fruitcake we receive this year with a little Jameson for the sake of science though.
I like cooking but I hate it at the same time. It can be fun anyway. It's definitely better with a partner. I haven't perfected anything as far as cooking goes but occasionally I'll have a happy accident and make something palatable. I've at least progressed past adding sriracha to everything.
So how'd you perfect dumpling making? Did you have to join some secret society to learn the esoteric art and science of dumplings?

I was in China Town San Francisco today and forgot to buy a new bottle of Sriracha chile. My last bottle walked out the door with a party guest. Borrowed n never returned. Amazing stuff it is.

10/10
Over a rather long life span now, I have been with gals who cooked and had as much fun with it as I. A few that should never be allowed past the bedroom. I used to make bombs n rockets n fireworks as kiddlet so Chemistry was an early hobby and cooking is chemistry and if you think about it, with a group of friends is it not amazing how great food and drink makes for a great time with friends.
Dumpling perfection was a lot of trial n error and I sure ate a lot of HEAVY DENSE Dumplings before the perfection!!
