I once said to my mother, "I don't think that I'll ever get married. Why don't people just live with their friends?" lol I can still remember her look of panic.

Sarasota. That's a weird comment about Southerners living in Florida. Isn't Florida in the South?

Okay, but wouldn't almost everyone in Florida be Southern, because its the South?

I meant culturally-southern: baptist, republican, part-Cherokee-"princess", etc.

you can tell a yankee by their deep disregard for morals and courtesy.
they are a rude and sinful people.
if you approach one, be careful. they'll emancipate your slaves.

you're a North-Western yankee. not quite as dirty as the east coast yankee, but just as rude and talks really fast.
the mid-west yankee i'm on the fence about. I really think they would've enjoyed having slavery in the territories, but it was against the fucking law.

lol It was a on running theme. Once I had a kid crush on a boy, and found out that it was actually a girl. Once a family member (who I didn't see very often, because they lived in a different state) had an extended talk with me about Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When he asked me of favorite character, which was Buffy at the time. Before I could answer, my mother answered for me, and Said Angel. Who on that series (he was better in the spin off) was just awful. I hated him and she knew that, but she was afraid of me telling the truth. lol

Why is not wanting a marriage indicative of gayness? I don't want to get married because I think it's a pointless waste of money, not because I am gay.

FL is an exception to the rule... the further north you go in the state the further south it seems.
No but that's because I didn't know there was other options. I was always going to grow up and get married and go to university and be a fucking computer technician or something. Mostly because that's what my parents said I would do.
