Few political ads on TV. Fewer billboards. The candidates never make stops or attend rallies here. No robocalls or door to door campaigners. Maybe once in a while you see a yard sign if you're lucky.

I live in the state pegged as counting the least even though we have more registered voters then anyone else. Obama and Romney and wives do visit but only to raise massive amounts of money because when it comes to money we have excess amounts of such. Yes I know the such gives yours truly away.
My former Professor of Communications Engineering at two Universities I attended, founded a monster of a Cell technology operation and Invented CDMA -They give a Movie Star credit for the actually invention.
So all this text on such why? Because as of today Irwin Jacobs founder of Qualcomm and my former employer and now a terrific Clien,t is listed as the 2nd largest individual hard cold cash supporter of Obama.
One hell of a Professor and one terrific guy to work for.

I remember reading an article which mentioned Obama's fondness for his Verizon BlackBerry which, like all Verizon phones, uses Qualcomm's CDMA2000 technology. At the time, I thought it was a coincidence. Now I'm not so sure.

lol er well its like this. Blackberry's on Capitol hill are the only way to go IF you work for US Gov. So he had no choice nor does any Member of Congress etc DOD you name it.
Many built in levels of security for any ordinary Blackberry. Some are a pain with headlines when the SINGLE Server goes kaput and Gov cannot communicate.
Blackberries for USA Gov use have additional levels of encryption, R&D which was part of the original Special Gov added value features of unique Globalstar phones. Paid for so it was easy to hand it off to Blackberry and modify hardware.
Other day on TV interview when he was asked about things he cannot do like drive a car - he said he would like to use a regular cell phone and just guessing Android or Iphone and he is NOT allowed to touch one. I doubt his kids have regular phones either.
I always like to add that Bin Laden had four GlobalStar phones and used them until he felt he could be tracked.
Original ones were limited to 10Kilometers and of course the new ones are far better then the best GPS gizmos except the ones made for Surveyors. They are down to millimeters of accuracy on location in 3 planes
