Mental illness is everywhere. Depression, bipolar, scizophrenia, social anxiety... we all know someone who is fucked up in some way cos it's so fucking common. So why are we so fucked up? Is it what we're eating? Is it how we are being raised? Is it simply that humans haven't evolved into perfect creatures yet? Is it problems in wider society? Discuss.

Things like depression, social anxiety, ect have no effect on your chances to reproduce. The reason we're all so fucked up is because the human brain is so complex that the odds of someone being 100% "normal" and having NO issues are pretty low. I don't know a single person who doesn't have some sort of health problem, we're just very complex creatures.

Yes, why wouldn't they? I don't have a single friend who has made it past 25 without having sex, and trust me, I have some pathetic friends. Anyone can get laid these days.
Edit: To be honest, my friends who have weird social issues like that are usually the ones who end up having kids EARLIER because once they get with someone, they think it's the only person they'll ever have. It's funny how it works out.
