There has been a bit of a misconception about my girlfriend, and it's all my fault. My girlfriend is a wonderful, and sweet person. She is supportive, and kind. And she always treats me with love, and dignity.

Yeah my girlfriend brings me home when I'm too drunk to drive. And she doesn't get all jealous when I hang out with the guys... She laughs at my dumb jokes when no-one does.

> My girlfriend was yelling at me, and hurting my feelings, and I get really anxious, and upset, and that's what happened.
> It was like 2 hours of just getting insulted, and yelled at. It got to the point where she threatened to break up with me
> "you're a fucking retard", "I hate you", "you're a bitch", "Anyone smart would never date you", I cry sometimes, and she mocks me, and laughs at me. It's the threats that get me the most, the "I should break up with you", and "Maybe I'll never talk to you again" statements. Also her ignoring me for days makes me upset. I put rude in quotes, because that's the word she used, and also I had no intention of being rude."

Exaggeration, and embellishment, of course things are going to look bad when the other side of the story isn't even shared. It's like if I got in a fight, and my opponent, and I both punched each other 30 times. And then I run to you, and say "This guy punched me 30 times", technically it's true, but it's massively misleading.
Besides that's one bad moment in a over a year of being together, show me one lasting relationship that doesn't have a disagreement, or a fight. In reality she's extremely sweet to me, and extremely loving. We have a wonderful relationship.

@previous (Postmortem !!Qe8ScDbX+)
Are you sure? Because you did say some terrible things in that other thread and suddenly you're saying something completely opposite to that.

Again, people have disagreements, and get in fights. It happens. My account of the events was extremely one sided, and I came on here because I was upset. She's not at all manipulative, or mean spirited, not in the slightest. She gets upset though, just like we all do. And when something matters a lot, the more upset it's likely to make us. I've said a lot of things I've come to regret, in fits of anger, or tears. I think we all have.

Well, she didn't yell at me for 2 hours, the phone conversation was simply that long. Also, I yelled, and I said shitty things, too. She was upset because I had made her upset for a long time, and she was sort of bottling up her feelings. I over exaggerated emotionally, as I often do.
