It's not particularly cheap (but not super expensive either). It didn't smell like this when it was fresh.

Have you compared the aroma to another bottle of Vodka?
Unless something got inside to mess it up, it should be good. Do you trust the people around you? A joke gone bad?

Alcohol after its open does oxidize. One month? Would not hurt it. Suspect something got into that bottle that does not belong there. Toss it.

funny - I am here on this post, I went off my diet yesterday and thought oh what the heck, I will have me some spirits, yeah this is what happened - I asked my teenage son if he had some cola and he said no but he brought in some dr. pepper. I pulled some vodka from under the sink and it tasted like someone switched with rubbing alcohol. I went and asked but he said i must be nuts. I feel I have rot gut this morning. Usually if I drink anything I feel alittle buzzed. Nothing I felt like I drank rubbing alcohol. Would the vanilla vodka and the dr. pepper have this much affect on flavor?
