I am going to a dinner party, and I have been asked to make a salad.
BUT I hate salad and thus I am not the best person to make one.

Pasta salad is easy and everyone likes it.
Make pasta, drain, dump in a bunch of dressing, veggies, and cheese, and let it sit overnight.
I like it with roasted bell peppers, black olives, feta or good parmesan, and a Mediterranean or Italian salad dressing. Add salad supreme spice, done.

fruit or ambrosia salad is easy. cut fruit, cocnout, pecans, whipped cream or whipped topping. I somtimes make it with pistaschio pudding and marishino cherries.

I assumed that but just wanted to be sure.
Once upon a time I was exactly in that position. 12 couples and me. Ended up being probably the most boring party I ever attended. However as it turned out it also ended up as life changing in the very best of ways.

One never knows. I knew almost all the couples. Conversation at some point turned to downhill skiing. I made up my mind to never try that. After 25 mins of being bored to death I just asked one simple question. Whats the big deal about downhill skiing? The answer was life changing.

I forget how that proceeded but all the men and women were in agreement. So a few weeks later when a Travel agent suggested I take a vacation, she also said hey you need to learn to ski and I know just the place for you. On the third day of lessons at Club Med Copper Mountain - Not a Orgasm moment, but I could see it would lead to that, and it sure did. Also led to a lot of great actually big O's because people who ski all day and are on Adrenalin-Endorphins, are truly looking for lots more off the snow.
A great way to meet very healthy people. Fit and toned and and looking for fun in life. Never met a depressed skier.

So are you saying that I should turn the conversation towards various winter sports and see which they say is like sex, and then do that one?

I guess there's nothing more important than keeping the few friends I have...This is the most I've ever done with friends before. We do parties weekly!
