Watch Asians who will look eye to eye at fish eyeballs - Cloudy no go - They open up the gills and get nose as close as possible and smell - They observe gills which need to be as they expect - I never did learn what that was , except they need to look clean. The Nose Knows. Filets just do a Smell test.

Yikes a week old? So like maybe it was on the boat a few days and then warehouse and then store for cut n wrap and then then - When you buy fish wrapped EAT it max of two days and smell smell smell it- If it does NOT smell like the Ocean a Blue Chuck it OUT.
Doubt just a taste of the bad fish is going to be a problem - If you ate chunks by now those chunks would be Chuck Ups.

You bought it off the boat? They wrapped it up for you? Even if - One week in frig is to long - Fish starts going south the minute its dead. Some meats if stored properly can improve with age but few know how to do it - I larned how to in books but have NEVER tried it. Fish could last months year if dried out of course.
