A British firm have discovered a means of converting CO2 from the air into a form of synthetic petrol.
Asked about the carbon footprint of the process they replied that using a source of naturally produce energy and recycling would make the process viable.
But...... weren't there stories like this some years ago of a similar process using water?

But natural reserves of crude are going to run out in time anyways. Even the major oil producing nations are going to feel the pinch. The time has long since passed when they should have been looking for alternative sources of power/means of revenue.
