Apperantly, nVidia graphic drivers are bananas both on the Server 2012 and Windows 8 64 bit version.
Options are, unplug my graphics card and install it with the integrated, or download Windows 8 32 bit (but I have 8 GB RAM, waste of 4 GB... bleeh).
Will install 32 bit probably, memorise the procedure, install the 64 bit version then fighting my way through the jubberish artefactistic shit and try to update the display drivers.
More news tomorrow. Cheers!

My nVidia cards worked just fine on it through installation. This is... new.

Not the only one getting this, seems to be common on lower end nvidia cards...

Hm. That's seriously shitty.
All nVidia cards, including mine, had slight issues while using it but nothing as bad as that.

Huh? Not supporting like half of video cards outright is pretty shitty.

Sorry, weather was insanely amazing today, spent a lot of time at the skatepark. Might give it a shot later on if noone hops in and kidnaps me for a night out.
Also, the UI is neat once you start using a few keyboard shortcuts aswell... metro start feels good... if you dont like it try Start8 ...

what is your point? coloured rectangles look like other coloured rectangles?

Clearly irony escapes you. I'm sure you'll be happy with Win 8. You seem like the target demographic.

Meh, i don't need a bunch of useless icons cluttering up my desktop. I purposely keep shortcuts and icons off my desktop, why would i want metro which looks like a clusterfuck of shortcuts and icons?
Imo it looks like a trashcan full of garbage rather than a computer interface.

Why nigger rig windows 8 to work like 7 when 7 works like 7 already?

Uses less resources and runs much smoother.

I doubt that, is it even released yet? And windows is always garbage until at least the second service pack. I'm sure the fan boys see nothing wrong with it, but i'll wait for windows 9. I bet it's out in a year. Technically it'll probably be windows 8 SP3 with a new name to convince people they killed metro.
