I've never been to a coffee shop but I must drive to Amsterdam and see it all before they're closed down. News says they will start closing doors to foreigners "from next year", but how long exactly do I have left? Will there still be coffee shops in February or March 2013, or is that too late?

Been there done that. Tis amazing. Variety's offered require research to know wot to ask for. I noticed that many Dutch will roll own cigarettes - mixing terbacco with weed.
Oh and Dutch being so friendly - Rules I bet do not forbid a Dutch citizen from sharing a cup of coffee and smoke with foreigners. Silly lawn.

Been to Chile to China & Australia to Siberia. Never to either of the poles. (Flown over both) Only view of penguins was at zoos or when I wore a Penguin suite re Tux. I have many a Tux in black and full tails and White with full tails and of course the White dinner Jackets. Used to be necessary re formal parrrrrrrty requirements. Even a few pics of such have appeared here with me in such for Halloween.

Excuse me but. I was in Argentina and needed to fly to NSW Australia. Multiple times over a few years. You do know a lot of people in Argentina speak Italian and German.

One great feature is I can ask someone who has never danced before and in 2 minutes get her to smile and laff and feel like she has been dancing for years.

Sunnyvale Palo Alto all of course via your Airporte. Lots of fun time dancing in San Francisco and I still do business trips there for Verizon and AT&T and used to work out of Livermore, Pleasanton and San Francisco. Globalstar still has the back up control center in bay area (hidden)

On the other hand the Nederlands is one hell of a fyne place to visit. Been there by air and train. Given natives can buy pot, and natives are super friendly......Getting wot ya needs should be simple.
I am a huge fan of Jamaica but ya don't really want to be a tourist there unless you do one of the super resorts like Hedonism II (Negril, Jamaica) Pot is dirt cheep. They have an orientation session re Magic Mushrooms and the Nude beach is beyond anything anyone could ask for in a wet dream. One price includes great meals & ALL YOU CAN DRINK! including beach sand service. Nude sailing trip to the water falls and nude horseback riding. None of that in Nederlands.
Netherlands is a wonderful place to visit n pot is such a small part of the total experience. Ya don't want to walk around outside of resort in Jamaica - You do want to walk n walk in Netherlands.

Not at all. As someone that constantly smokes weed, I'm not going to visit somewhere unless I know I can get a supply of it there. Not only that, it was the novelty of buying high quality cannabis in that kind of environment that appeals to thousands of tourists. You underestimate how many people traveled there mainly to smoke weed.

Not only that, it was the novelty of buying high quality cannabis in that kind of environment that appeals to thousands of tourists. You underestimate how many people traveled there mainly to smoke weed.

Been about 3 years since last there so ask dw this - Those coffee shops have outdoor patio tables. So unless its raining I bet the lawn has not reached the point where a tourist cannot sit down for a cup of coffee. So asking someone at the next table for a helping hand is probably 100% legal. Keep in mind the find citizens of Netherlands wanted no part in the law they were forced to pass.
So you cannot go past the door NOW in a few places. I never did but you will notice that there are places where people in the open in parks shoot up "H" One I remember is in eye distance on the same block in Amsterdam as police dept. dw may update me on if lawn changed. I mean I know it was/is against the lawn and always has been but but but - Netherlands is most famous for a modern outlook on handling awful terrible drugs so it does not become a problem for the rest of citizens.

Only pointing out that the Gov provides clean needles and environment conducive for a serious drug. Pot aka Weed is only an issue re border countries butthurt.
Need dw to splain Y u should have no problems smoking what you want to smoke and access to whatever you want.
