Hadn't seen it yet, looking at it now. I'm stoked for the debates tonight. Had I known the Biden/Ryan debate was gonna be so great I would have made a thread for everybody to watch it. I have never seen a debate that pleased me more.

mitt romney are tried among likely voters who are women in a dozen battle ground states. it drew an angry response from joel benson, and he called the poll is an extreme outlier defying the trebds seen in every other battleground and national poll.

Looks like Syntax got a job at NBC. Good for him.
Bad for the readers, though.

I follow all of this for Entertainment. I located those of the past (Polls-Bloggers-Prognosticators) who had the most accurate track record. Its easy to see which pollster was best. Harder to find the very best of the bloggers. I also watch the gambling market. Gamblers like Intrade in Ireland were about 2X more accurate then anyone else. Nate Silver 538 & Sabato+Alan & Pollyvote have World Class track records.
I figure if any of them were better then 99% accurate in past they are worth having fun with this year.

Its exciting it has action. Movies about such are common and some are block busters. This one is real and no one is 100% sure of outcome except a few have a 30+ year track record of amazing accuracy.
Not at all roulette if you look at Ireland's track record on forecasting outcome. There are a couple of polls that were one point off!! One that got all the state results 100% spot on last time.
So do I have money on this? Gheeeeesh ya betcha. Finding true believers on the other side is so fucking easy. Minds made up. So sure that helps with the entertainment factor.
Need some proof? http://electoralmap.net/2012/2008_election.php
Look at how amazing Intrade was and then look at bottom of page re results of Polls - Nate Silver 538 beat all of them as well as Sabto Crystal ball.
AND IF I Lose? I still win because if Romney were to win and if he is serious it puts more money in my wallet.

With this much enthusiasm and faith in statistics you might be better off betting on horses. There are fewer factors to consider when betting on horses.

Its a matter of passion. How many who bet on a horse are truly, true believers? When people take sides in politics, often they leave reason and common sense behind.
For example. News media keeps talking about a point or three in the popular vote. Yet at no time has Romney been even close to that magic Electoral vote number. Not even the one sided Republican Polls, who admit they are Republican, give Romney a winning number. This one gives Romney more then anyone else.
The average Joe around town only pays attention to the popular vote. Remember a Bush who lost the popular vote but won the E-Vote? Horses? To many in a race.
