They keep putting this event off. Something about its kinda windy between edge of space and Planet Earth.
I think the attempt at breaking the sound barrier is very very edgy and cool. Vibrations issues were nasty on early aircraft attempting this and planes lost wings and shit.

Good question. EyE having Zero expertise on Balloons, had to differ to the live report on CNN. Explanation wazzzzzz Early in the AM temp on Ground was favorable - However Winds up there were bad enough to FLIP the Balloon over. So they waited for winds up there to die off. In fact they did. Buuuuuutttttttt Temps on ground SPIKED. So ground thermals created the twisting wind that destroyed that Balloon.
There is only one back up. Crew is tired so they blew off Wed and will try on Thurs.

Yea seems that could cause Becky some worry. Me being a paid for living kinda rocket scientist, put aside the wind issues and assume wind will sum zero out. Hey I am placing bets on election, nor have I looked to see if betting markets I am allowed to play have this event up to bet on.

I was thinking soap bubble myself. Looks like this whole thing depends on perfection, which in my Profession of Engineering - Well we look at this as Fail waiting to happen = Murphy's Laws.

Messed up some of my great early plans for the day re Festival in Little Italy. Even the net stream feed was delayed - they kept changing the delay from 20 sec to 2 full minutes.
