Satellites don't exist. Any pictures or video supposedly showing these "satellites" were filmed in the same Nevada studio they filmed the moon landings in.

What about the Low Earth orbit (LEO) & Medium Earth orbit (MEO's)
Lots more of them then GEO's
They all use the same combos of stuff to keep them in Orbit.

You're right of course, but GEO is the dominant play. Besides, if OP's asking the question, he(she)'s not smart enough to understand you anyhow. I figure it's better we start her(him) off with the basics.

Wonder what you mean by dominant? For those into TV from space....That function would be dominant in their view. Given there is a limit to how many GEO's one can have in Sync orbit, the total number is self limiting albeit they keep coming up with some wacky ways to add more by putting one behind the other OR closer to each other. Use of real fuels like hydrazine and Ion propulsion keeps Engineers on toes.
Actually when added up LEO's & MEO's exceed GEO's in number. Round numbers about 1000 in total with 1500 working to some degree and another 1500 dying but still operating to some degree even if its to say I am still here.
Best thing of all is that SiFi writer invented the concept including orbit details way back in 1945.

I know exactly who OP is. You are correct in that I did not vote. OP wanted help with something else and I really fucked up losing a file. Funny how for work I know how to be careful and for fun I can spend a lot of time on a project and then late in the weeee hours forget to save it.

That is an unfortunate and uninformed statement. Many are visible in the night sky. Iridium LEO's for example are very visible. There is always at least one of them in your sky available for view.

88 total with several soon back to earth for a in place GEO orbit albeit in bits and pieces.
There are many others visible. Ones I am working on today are NOT visible to the naked eye because the bottom surface does not reflect light. (Absorbs)
