Flawless is not a word that can be applied to any closed source software. That's like saying a diamond is flawless before inspecting it under a magnifying glass. You are very stupid.

Sticking my nose in this.

I am not a fan of MicroShit as a company. That said MS Word and Excel may not be perfect, but they sure have evolved and super useful and they are closed source.
So successful that Open source doc emulates Word.

Of course not and I did say
> may not be perfect

Many think MS word has gone to far. Stripped down versions are available and they are a lot more then anyone needs.

If you truly cared about software freedom, you would've suggested a BSD-UNIX operating system distribution, rather than a GNU-LINUX operating system distribution.

BSD? What the fuck? Is this 1992 or something?

BSD lost, Linux won. That battle is long over.

I by the way use Win7 and have several UNIX Sun Solaris work stations. UNIX Rocks. Have a computer sitting around for Linux play but seem to never get the time to play with it.
I very recently found a super program I wanted to play with and it was designed really for Linux. Found binaries to make it work with MS. That is rare in my experience.

Anonymous E replied with this 14 years ago, 1 minute later, 23 hours after the original post[^] [v] #354,099

Linux is basically UNIX without all the pretense and cocksucking that is BSD.

@354,095 (E)
Windows is for everyday people, Mac is for hipsters and people in media, Unix is for servers and GNU-Linux is for fat, neckbearded, know-it-all virgins that spend all day and night, completely naked and on the floor, masturbating to the messages and ideals of Richard Matthew Stallman, whom is a known communist pedophile-sympathizer that eats dead skin from his foot.

Anonymous D replied with this 14 years ago, 1 minute later, 23 hours after the original post[^] [v] #354,103

@354,099 (E)
Yet I notice that Linux has a lot missing. A lot of software still is not easily compatible with Linux. IBM may change tha,t but then again they use it mainly for servers.
Because UNIX is major in business enviros most software packages court UNIX owners. Its a follow the money world out there.

Anonymous F replied with this 14 years ago, 7 seconds later, 23 hours after the original post[^] [v] #354,105

Wait... I just remembered something.
Mac OS X is a valid UNIX operating system.

Anonymous D replied with this 14 years ago, 5 minutes later, 23 hours after the original post[^] [v] #354,108

@previous (F)
Yes from the get go. UNIX is almost as old as God. Bell and University of California, Berkeley, sure got it right from the getgo. If you are going to be the O/S for the telco company it has to be solid. Funny how the more things change the more they do remain the same. Thinking iPhone lol

Nothing free is any good. If it was good they'd charge for it.

I take that back, if it was good people would pay for it instead of downloading freeware made by amateurs.

Wot? MicroShit comes with a crappy Yellow Stickie. Freeware is available for Stickies that's just great. Tiny program.

Atomic clock to keep PC clock accurate
Irfan view to quick change any image extension as well as reduce a honking 5 Meg bit map to 65KB Jpeg.

Long list of fun and well designed freebees. Wot about all the free apps from Google? Adware block and NoScript.
