With almost 40 years in the international oil and mining business, Marsden "Bill" Miller created The Promethean Corporation to capitalize on his knowledge of Asian business practices, established relationship network and over ten years investment experience in the Chinese market. As the CEO of the first foreign onshore oil exploration company to obtain and successfully operate an oil production sharing contract from China National Petroleum Corporation in 1993, Mr. Miller oversaw the first foreign commercial onshore oil discovery and the largest oil well ever drilled in China. That same year, at the request of China National Petroleum, Mr. Miller worked to help China obtain Most Favored Nation status from the U.S. government.In 1994, Mr. Miller began investing in other Chinese businesses, including lubricating oil, coal bed methane, advertising, real estate and entertainment. He has also partnered with Chinese companies, enabling their investment and expansion in the U.S., the former Soviet Republics and Africa. Mr. Miller established the Promethean Corporation to increase the scale of these investments and expand their scope to include Western and Chinese business partners. Over the past two years, he has worked with Chinese entrepreneurs and U.S. venture capitalists to create a B2B e-marketplace concentrated on China's export market. Mr. Miller received his BA and JD from Louisiana State University.
