Topic: CEO Tim Cook says new iPhone sucks & apologizes "We are extremely sorry working to fix it"
Anonymous A started this discussion 14 years ago#22,445
"CEO Tim Cook says the company is "extremely sorry" for the frustration that its maps application has caused and it's doing everything it can to make it better.
Cook said in a letter posted online Friday that Apple "fell short" in its commitment to make the best possible products for its customers.
He recommends that people try alternatives by downloading competing map apps from the App Store while Apple works on its own maps products.
The Cupertino, Calif., company had released an update to its iPhone and iPad operating system last week that replaced Google Maps with Apple's own maps application.
But users complained that the new maps have fewer details, lack public transit directions and misplace landmarks, among other problems."
Apple - iPhone - The best of everything. Built right in. The only thing better than the new iPhone, is all the things you'll do with it. ... Beautifully designed from the ground up, Maps will change the way you see the world

Those are just maps. Anyone who can'y downgrade to iOS5 and use the Google ones until there's a proper fix is an idiot. Scrap that, owning an iPhone makes you an idiot by default.

I find it funny that you need maps + gps to get around town. I usually get a tourist map and read signs, but I might just be crazy.
Apple - it just downgrades with an update.

It's like reading Shakespeare. It seems difficult at first but if you keep at it it's not so bad.

Then you have never been to San Jose, Costa Rica. About 2 million people in the Capitol of that country and its a wonderful country to vacation in. But only NOW are they planning to install their first street sigh. Even taxi drivers have a hard time figuring out which Mc D's to turn at to get headed to the right hotel.

Well sure I ain't no Shakespeare but I do invent new ways to mess with the English language and wait for people to play catch up with me.
@353,020 (Killer Lettuce !!iNo3FkiZx)
Probably helps you are closer to Shakespeare then others.

er did not understand the reply? I own stock in Google so I know what its called. I also make money re Apple for several separate reasons. I was only pointing out a huge flaw re Apple forcing an App change on customers ---and given they did not set up a fleet of trucks to drive around and do due diligence on Maps with pics including changes in Maps for accuracy, Apple will never catch up to Google in accuracy.

Tim Cook. He's the butthurt faggot in this picture. Butthurt Android even exists. And being an Apple employee he decided it was appropriate to fuck over his customers because it was more important to get them off a competitor's system.

To translate via Google I would have to write all that down and submit. Not going to write it down. Pizza trumps need to know.

Dreamworks told me a while ago, I don't remember properly though. I think it was that she asks him if they can do something romantic together and he suggests putting on her underwear and shitting everywhere whilst she takes pictures, which they can then upload to the Internet together. The slogan on the bottom I can actually read myself, it says "Bertrand was not so good with women".

It's a joke in a comic, you prudish old man. "Scat" is a sexual fetish and the exhibition thereof.

And no. It's not just maps. It's Apple making decisions which negatively affect their customers to advance their own interests. Of course, Apple consumers are basically cattle anyhow and have invited such treatment, but still it's not cool.

They do have a habit of lining up for a good milking.

Actually I would rather Apple do the milking then MicroShit.
Android is doing super well so there sure as hell is the Alternative.
I put up the topic because Apple is greedy & had no business dumping Google maps. They can never ever be as good.
