Not metal at all. Needs more distorted guitars, sweep-picked harmonic minor solos, and some sick double bass drum work. Keep trying bud, you'll get it eventually.

Thanks dude. I've been listening to a lot of early Goblin Cock lately and I think I'm almost there. Just a couple tweaks and I'll have nailed it.

That isn't real metal bro. Check out some hardcore underground bands like Metallica or Nickelback.

did you pitch shift it? add delay?
what drum samples are you using etc.

Pitch shifted 2 semitones, added delay and chorus.
Drums are various manipulated drum machine samples. For example, the kick is from the Alesis HR-16, but it has a pitch envelope for more punch.
Took about an hour from start to finish. Anything else you wanna know? :)

what did you use to pitch shift?
what is the goal of the piece

I sped it up accordingly. However, in Ableton live there are a few other ways to do that.
It's literally a musical doodle.

so the pitch shifting was not deliberate?

I wanted to pitch it up, but decided to do so by speeding it up instead of keeping the original tempo and just transposing it up that way.
