In most states, there's a law requiring centrally controlled heat be turned on by a specific date.

But if there were no state they'd simply never turn it on.

If there was no state, people would be free to turn it on for themselves, whenever they wanted.

But then what if someone else didn't want it on? Without a central authority, you'd just constantly have 5 minutes of unbearable heat followed by 5 minutes of subzero temperatures.

People would simply move apartments until they found other who shared their temperature preferences.

@previous (B)
The state is bad for society. This is an objective fact.

Without the state abusing their liberties people would be able to move between apartments freely.

It's a private contract. Sane landlords prefer long-term leases.

Anonymous C replied with this 14 years ago, 5 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #352,028

@previous (A)
Unfair contracts are a statist ideal. Without the state, people would no longer accept this abuse of their liberty.

Then why does the state invalidate contracts that are unfair?

(Edited 8 seconds later.)

Anonymous C replied with this 14 years ago, 1 minute later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #352,030

@previous (A)
They don't. The state will never approve a contract that limits their power. Therefore, every statist approved contract is inherently an abuse of personal liberty.

The statists prohibit adult-loli relationships because they know it is the truest form of liberty, meaning that it is the biggest threat to their power.

Bullshit. ND is in the low 80s right now.
Southeast MI is colder than that, yet it's still quite comfortable for most people to not need a jacket.
63°F here in Livonia.

That is probably true. It was in the mid-40s here and I had to turn on the heater in my car to get rid of the frost on my windshield. Immediately after the windshield became clear, I rolled down the windows and turned my AC to full-blast to get rid of the warm air.

> The state is bad for society. This is an objective fact.

At the end of the day Anarchists are Luddites. They want to undo a technological advance simply because they're butthurt over it. They're always trying to claim they've lost something to the machine, but can never really give a reason why anyone should give a fuck. It's all very Ted Kaczynski.

It's a sad truth that among anarchists, the argument "If there was no state, we could all rape children" seems to be the best marketing they can think up.

Newsflash: nobody cares. Just like nobody cares when some butthurt shoe making motherfuckers lose their jobs to automation, or when the workers who make iPhone 5 are paid so little they literally have to live at the factory to afford transportation to work the next day. Nobody fucking cares, and that is where you fail.
